The Diocesan Vicar General, Mgr. Benedict O’Shea, and the Diocesan Financial Secretary, Mr. Fergus Brotherton, kindly agreed to visit St. Wilfrid’s to meet with Fr. Rory and those members of the Project Committee who were available.  It was a very full and helpful meeting in which the concerns and frustrations of our community were expressed.  Mgr. O’Shea gave us some very good advice as to the way forward and Mr. Brotherton also advises us re the financial situation of the diocese and the requirement to build within our budget.  We are most grateful for their time and advice.
