Important-Admission to Catholic Schools

When the time comes to make an application to any Catholic school, Primary or Secondary, the school will ask for a Priest’s reference to confirm that you have been attending Mass regularly over a significant period of time. Current admissions criteria stipulate 3 years. In order to make this reference as fair and accurate as possible, the Parishes of St Wilfrids and St Georges have a scheme to record your Mass attendance here. The Parishes will be using this scheme from September 2010 onwards.

To register with this scheme, please give your family details to the Parish Priest. Participants will be expected to sign the register on attendance at Church. The register will be held in the Sacristy and supervised by named volunteers. Their names are printed below.

If parishioners are attending Mass at another location e.g. holidays etc they are requested to place on the register the name of the Church attended along with the name of the officiating Priest.

The Parish priest will consult with the volunteers prior to signing any Parish Support Form.
