RECONCILIATION & HOLY COMMUNION

From the age of eight years the children are prepared to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion.  The procedure takes place over several months and parents are asked to ensure that their children attend regularly each Sunday.  Annette Wake, the parish catechist, is responsible for their instruction and provides a wide range of resources to help them in their preparation.

CONFIRMATION

At the age of fourteen or fifteen, our young people are informed that they are of an age to be confirmed.  They are not automatically enrolled into the special classes as each individual must approach the parish priest and ask to be confirmed.  Classes are generally held on a deanery basis.
